Selling My Own Home - What Can Schmitt Title Do For Me?

Schmitt Title & Escrow will assist you in the closing process and will provide title insurance once a buyer is found. There are many facets of a real estate closing that need to be handled in a timely manner. We provide complete closing services to anyone selling property. Our experienced closing and title insurance team will coordinate the entire closing for you. Fill out the Document Preparation form in this section to get started.

For $100.00 We Will:

•  Order title insurance and provide commitment

•  Obtain & Deliver any mortgage payoffs that exist on your property

•  Order deed and transfer return from an attorney
   (You may use a specific attorney, or we will choose one)

•  Order a municipal tax letter

•  Coordinate closing with buyers' lenders

•  Calculate all appropriate closing  prorations

•  Prepare a complete closing statement showing all of the closing costs and your net proceeds from the sale

The document preparation fee as well as separate charges for the deed and transfer preparation, tax letter, and the title insurance will be billed to you and shown on the closing statement. There are certain things you will need to provide for us-these things are detailed in the What Do I Need To Do? section.
